Chintak Patel

Though being in financial services professional, he has been keenly engaged in organizing Adventure activities for more than 30 years across the country: Gujarat, Himachal, Uttaranchal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra. Being a psychology graduate, his interaction with the campers and local communities is extraordinary. He was member of Adventure Promotion Council at YOUTH HOSTELS ASSOCIATION OF INDIA, New Delhi for years together in addition to organising and leading TREKKING activities across Gujarat State. He has explored many unexplored trekking routes in the Himalaya and found new trails for participants. His experience in planning need based itineraries, is an asset for the organization.

Under the banner of “SPANDAN” Cultural Group, he is helping in preserving Traditional Folk Dances and Cultural Heritage of our country. As a Director, he has led Indian cultural Groups in International Folk Dance Festivals in European countries like Belgium, Netherlands and France continuously for 2 years (2008 & 2009). His contribution in organizing and hosting International Folk Dance Festival (organized by SPANDAN and GUJARAT LOK KALA FOUNDATION) for the first time in India in the year 2013 (wherein groups from Canada, Estonia, Czech Republic, Germany, Afghanistan etc. had participated) was remarkable one.

His keen interest in social service activities by his active participation in Lions Club International (best NGO of the World) as President of Lions Club of Ahmedabad City and educational activities in Shree Zalawad Khakharia Kadva Patidar Kelavani Mandal as Committee member, is another side of his concern and commitment to social cause.
